This was originally intended to be a Christmas gift for my cousin, but after numerous mishaps I decided to get her a gift card to one of her favorite stores instead.
I decided to finish this anyway for my little sister... I loved the pattern when I saw it in Twinkle's Big City Knits, but shame on me, I should have checked all the measurements before I started! I love this book, but the measurements they use are for women with little to no girth in the waist area. So for those of us that don't have 36" busts and 22" waists (like myself and my cousin, and a lot of other women out there), some recalculation is definitely required! Luckily my sister is tiny, so she will be able to wear this. And now I have learned my lesson about checking those things before I start instead of midway through! ---- Rockefellar Sweater pattern from Twinkle's Big City Knits by Wenlan Chia *knit with two strands of Lion Brand Vanna's Choice held together throughout on size 17 and 19 needles #4 in the 50 in 2008! |

darling, you amaze me with your ability to whoop out QUALITY stuff.
LOVE this sweater. I'm wearing something similar, but store bought. I like the patterns in yours better, though.
That's so weird that they'd give such odd-ball measurements for the sweater. Usually you have the twiggy measurements and the standard measurements. Rarely do you run into the busty-twiggy measurements.

If, for instance,
One sunny morning god disappeared and everyone went crazy,
I'd take a picture in rememberance.

Extrapolate that!
I agree, I wasn't expecting the measurements to turn out wonky like that. *shrug* But the patterns are all so beautiful, I'm not too turned off. Now I know to check before I start a project out of there!
